They went to share the Love of Christ.
From 1947 to 1957 Max and Betty Welch were overseas as missionaries with a year in Portugal and eight and a half years in Angola, Portuguese West Africa. These are the slides, letters, and music from that period.
The official language of Angola was Portuguese and the native dialect was Umbundu. English was not allowed to be taught in schools or to the natives.
